Dimitri Zukov was born in Odessa on October 8, 1954 into a military family, his career began surrounded by master painters and friends of his parents. From the age of nine he participated in exhibitions together with adults, but his inclination towards the exact sciences led him to a degree in design technology in Tallinn.

After working at a design agency in Stockholm, a dramatic change in his health became a turning point that returned him to his calling. Professional training at the Stockholm University of Applied Sciences allowed him to transform technical discipline into a unique visual language.

When preparing sketches, Dmitry uses his engineering experience with AutoCAD and Photoshop, although some works are born spontaneously, like fleeting visions. Over a quarter of a century, the artist has created over 400 large-scale canvases, including associative series where objects act as allegories of human emotions.

A significant part of his work is dedicated to Stockholm: over 500 intimate works capture the architecture of the Old Town. These works, filled with light and "symphonic rhythms", are a perennial favorite among Swedish residents and visitors to the capital.

The artist's professional recognition is confirmed by his membership in the Creative Artists' Union of Russia and the Union of Russian Artists in Estonia. His art is appreciated for its harmonious blend of engineering precision, classical training and profound emotional symbolism.
